Europeans Time in Helsinki, Finland!

After sail for Gold we had a mixture of activities including a trip to Sri Lanka for Kat and the slightly less exotic Cowes for the Quarter ton Cup for Kate.  Along with a week of training and some boat maintenance for Chablis the FX, it was time to head off to our Europeans.  After many hours of driving, (I think about 20hours) and many ferries Chablis arrived safe and sound in Helsinki, Finland.  Thank you to Volvo Cars UK, Team mate Frances Peters and Mummy Hughes for doing the long drive, luckily they were in a comfy Volvo.  We have got the drive home to look forward too still.

We are now in Helsinki, Finland where we are getting prepared for our European Championships.  We have had a few days training here in good breeze and the sun has even decided to come out too.  There are numerous islands on the way to some of the courses, which also involves a bit of rock dodging, could be entertaining, especially in big winds.  But all in all it is a cool place and now we can’t wait to get racing.  We have got a few more final touches to do on Chablis and then we are ready to go!

Good Luck to Lucy and Andy, Team MacWalsh, starting their Europeans in La Grand Motte, France today!
